Before setting a budget, you need to know what a customer is actually worth to you, and how much you're willing to pay to get one.
Know your customer value
How much does one customer spend with you over a year? If they buy once for $500, that's your value. If they come back monthly at $200 for 12 months, that's $2,400.
Decide what you'd pay for that customer
